It is no news that the election process was marred by widespread irregularities and many unfortunate deaths. What seems certain however is that Yar'adua will be sworn in come May 29th (God help us). It would be interesting to see if thesame people who rightly condemned the election process turn around to "hail the new king".

They better also prepare to have sharia implementation across Nigeria.

Yaradua implemented same sharis in Katsina, but nobody was talking of this.

He can not try that, Nigeria is not Katsina and you have to bear it in mind that the Northern muslim politicians brought sharia (which OBJ rightly called) "political sharia" to distabilize the Nigerian polity and by the way did you hear or read what Ribadu said about the Ayatolla of Zamfara at a forum sometimes late 2006? If you did you will not bother yourself about any threat of introducing sharia.

So i heard. i also got to know through nairaland that he left more than N7billion in the govt's coffers. was that a case of not knowing what to do with money or he had done everything necessary and left the remainder?

Will the world attend? Let's wait and see. Already congratulatory messages from south Africa and Egypt have come in, US and UK have said they will recognise Yar Adua and some of the opposition have started paying homage. Even Atiku in a recent interview with Guardian newspaper intends to attend the inauguration - a tacit endorsement of the election. Politicians, only God will deliver us from them.
