Kamaru Usman Becomes First Nigerian UFC Champion after Smashing Tyron Woodley in round 5

It will surprise you to know that the new UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is a Nigerian. Making him the first African born fighter to win the title in history.

After five rounds, Kamaru won via unanimous decision. He score was at 50-44, 50-44, and 50-45.

Meanwhile, the news champion said he was on injury during the fight.

In a video made available by Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, the fighter had a foot fracture on his left foot.
But he won, even with the injuries.

The UFC welterweight champion has already been called for by other fighters and Kamaru’s first defense is against Colby Covington.

Currently, he has to his record a 14 win streak and a career record of 14 : 1 and has never loss in the UFC.

Usman hits on 336 strikes against 60 by Woodley. He also had two takedowns. Now, Woodley has refused to congratulate to the new champion.
