Observing those pictures, this is the hallmark of the African wild dog.They attack at night. They consume just a little part of their dead prey. Sheeps are vulnerable to their attack because of their poor ability to sense danger. Where I live, it happens frequently. Previously seen one of those dogs devouring its prey around 5AM in the morning.

African civets don't kill large animals like sheep's and goats .. a ram is bigger than a civet.. African civets kills and eats smaller mammals like rats and mouses

Hyenas don't hunt for sports. They only hunt when they are hungry and they often strip their kills of large amount of flesh before leaving what is left behind. The creature doing these seems to be hunting for the fun of it as the kills are barely touched.

Spotted hyenas hunt for fun, I even doubt if its an Animal tho, doesn't add up, most animals that hunt for sport are not solitary. It's probably just one mischievous nut trying to rattle the villagers.

No. not hyena. Hyena are known to be very gluttonous. they will not just kill animals and leave the carcass. the will ferociously devour it .
