Real Madrid’s hope of winning the champions league for a fourth consecutive season was crashed last night by a team of young players representing the famous dutch champions Ajax.

Real Madrid started the night with an away win advantage over Ajax in the first leg of the round of 16 Knockout stage, their hopes were soon brought to it’s knees when Ajax took a 0-2 win in the first 20 mins of the game. Ajax held on to a 0-2 lead at halftime and went on to finish the match with a 1-4 scoreline, earning them a place in the quarter finals of the 2018/2019 UEFA Champions league.

Judging by the look of things, Real Madrid are heading back to the pre Ronaldo era. They might go trophyless this season.
