Nsima Ekere disappears as Court grants arrest warrant on him



In what may be seen as the final show of shame for the APC's camp in Akwa Ibom State, the State APC Gubernatorial candidate, and the sacked NDDC Managing Director, Obong Nsima Ekere today during the APC's campaign meeting in his campaign ground at Edet Akpan avenue, didn't show up.

Informations gathered have it that Obong Nsima Ekere had fixed today Wednesday 6th March, 9am for the APC's campaign meeting but till 5pm, he was nowhere to be found, as all his mobile phones were switched off.

The reason for this sudden disappearance is as a result of the arrest warrant issued on him by a Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. From the suit filed against Mr. Ekere, he's being accused of diverting N2.4bn meant for the payment of contractors who had borrowed money from financial institutions and individuals in completing the contracts awarded them by NDDC.

From a reliable source, men of the Nigerian Police Force had visited the Ewet Housing residence of Obong Nsima Ekere by 1:53pm today, but were faced with the wife, Mrs. EseAbasi Ekere who lamented bitterly about the husband's mysterious disappearance. She complained that the husband had left the house about 18hours earlier but till date, all his mobile numbers are yet to be reached and his whereabout yet to be known.

Mrs. EseAbasi Ekere also hinted men of the Nigerian Police Force that the last call Obong Nsima Ekere received was from Senator Akpabio who informed him about the arrest warrant. She insisted that the moment the husband became desperate for power was when Akpabio defected to the APC and since then, Mr. Ekere has been acting like an uncouth and uncoordinated person. She said in case anything bad happens to the husband, Akpabio should be held responsible.
