How Late Judgements On Pre-election Issues Rubbish The Nigerian Electoral System by samueloduoye(m): 4:56am On Mar 08, 2019
Pre-election cases are one of the major issues disrupting election plans. This article asked the question, Instead of having to wait until the eve of an election to have a final direction on pre-election court cases, why can’t there be a time frame for all electoral matters to either be resolved or struck out?

Just like in the case of Ayogu Eze when the judge held that “the Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case on the grounds that it was not filed within 14 days of the arising of the course of action as stipulated in section 285(9) of the 4th Alteration of the Nigerian Constitution,” so also we should have strict rules that will stop cases from protracting until the eve of elections.
