Just few hours to commencement of
March 9 elections, one of the
Registration Area Centers (RAC) located
at Community Secondary Schoo Okposi
Umuoghara, where polling unit 07 is
cited in Ezza North local government
area was set ablaze by suspected thugs
allegedly working for All Progressive
Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state.
Blueprint Correspondent on ground in
the area reports that the thugs invaded
the centre at about 2:15 am and
attacked the officials.
They were said to have shot
sporadically and scared the people away
before setting the center ablaze and
burning Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) sensitive materials
in the center.

When contacted, the Resident Electoral
Commission (REC) Ebonyi state,
Professor Godswill Obioma, who
confirmed the incident, said he got the
report but has further notified INEC
headquarters.
Also the state Police public Relations
officer ASP Loveth Odah confirmed the
