It is the right step, but just that the OML/OPL will now be reissued to a new set of thieves. They do not publish the number of Oil Blocs, Wells or even the Licenses where we can find them and trace them to people who pump the oil that flows under our feet.

Nigerians are so silly, they are fighting over the % shared to 'Nigeria' but have not thought about the gentlemen/ladies who own the Wells that the 'mining' companies drill/explore.

Last I checked, we called this 'One Nigeria' even 3 million people excluding soldiers died so we can share all resources among all 200 million Souls that walk and talk on this land.

Yet, few have cornered everything and the poor masses are also 'hailing' them.

Una never see anything. In 25 fuccking years, it will be a stigma to drive a gasoline/diesel car. And Oil will be cheaper than water. grin

The government cannot take over oil wells unless the license expires or through new legislation.

Since no further information is provided, we may assume that this particular oil well license
has expired.

If this is the case, the letter changes nothing and the oil well will be re-issued to new owners at a later date.

He has stepped on fire severally and he remained unburned.

Lol.

Unfortunately, the memo wasnt intended for public consumption else it would have given a background.

Shell hadn't produced 1 drop of oil since the Kero Saro Wiwa issue oved 25 years ago.

It is most possible that shell's license has expired and the FG is stepping in to produce those wells.

Shikena.
