Okay! So please should she be allowed to go with the money? Besides, she has been given a chance to explain why it should not be permanently forfeited. If she can explain, then she will have her cash back! Is it bad?

In Nigeria, let us end Human Rights Violations;
-Extra-judicial killings.
-Unlawful arrests & detention.
-Violence against women & children.
-Torture & ill-treatment.

Where in the world did this woman come across such huge sums of money if not stealing from our commonwealth? A woman that had no known paying job until her husband Jonathan became president & all of a sudden, wealth sprang up everywhere. It will not be well with her & all those that brought this once thriving country to her knees. Thank God Buhari is dealing with the corrupt judges otherwise the courts would've been ruling in her favor. This is just the beginning of many of such rulings to come in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Okay it's just an interim forfeiture...

It will only be returned if she can provide proofs she legitimately earned the money. Can she?

If she could she would have done so instead of fighting the interim forfeiture order

I AM SORRY!

The sentence that works like magic; melts anger, hatred & bitterness.

The word that saves relationships, friendships & families IF you don't let your EGO steal from you.

Saying I am sorry does not make you less of a person, it shows you have a bigger personality.

Ade Adesomoju, Abuja

The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed another order of interim forfeiture made by the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court in respect of the sum of N2.4bn allegedly traced to the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs. Patience Jonathan.

The apex court, had barely a week ago, affirmed an interim forfeiture of the sum of $8.4m belonging to the ex-First Lady and directed her to return to the Federal High Court in Lagos to show cause why the fund should not be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government.

On Friday, in a separate appeal, a five-man bench of the apex court unanimously handed down a similar verdict on another sum of N2,421,953,522 in the bank account of Lawari Furniture and Bath Limited, a firm which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had linked to Mrs. Jonathan.

Lawari Furniture and Bath Limited had, through its lawyers, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), filed the appeal to challenge the January 12, 2018 judgment of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal, which had affirmed the interim forfeiture order of the Federal High Court in Abuja in respect of the N2.4bn.

It's very simple, let start from somewhere, Patience is the closest ex former firstlady, when PMB leaves, someone should try his wife too and the fight goes on and on.

Remember you and I were never a direct beneficiaries from their loots, why defending them.
