1. If you have kids then utilize a family member or hire a baby sitter. While you love your kids, they can be incredibly time consuming and you deserve a bit of time for yourself to follow your passion. If you can’t hire a baby sitter then see if you can watch a friend’s kids for a bit in exchange for them doing the same for you at a later date.

2. Be as productive as possible during the short time you are allowed to write. Don’t spend the entire time at your computer thinking of ideas, instead keep a notepad around with you at all times so that you can jot down best debate topics ideas there. Now when you get to your computer you have tons of ideas already and can spend your precious time writing instead of thinking.

3. On top of carrying around a notebook for ideas, keep the current chapter of your book you are working on with you. This way you can refresh your memory while you are waiting at a doctor’s office and fix certain parts while you reread it.
4. Make writing a priority. Don’t always put everything else before your writing so that you only get an hour or two in the wee morning. Instead make sure that your partner knows how much writing means to you and that you want time for it. If they love you and respect you, they will understand this and help you make a little time in your day for your passion.

5. Another great tip for those who want to find time to write is by ensuring that all of your materials are already at your writing station before you begin. Ensuring that your stuff is consolidated will make it much easier while you are writing so you don’t have to get up and go look for your notes and materials.

6. Know that to make time for your writing you need to make it a habit; just like you make time to brush your teeth, shower, and everything else. While it may seem strange, you need to force yourself to get into the habit of writing and to do so you need to understand that it takes 21 repetitions of something to break an old habit and establish a new one. This means that you need to make a goal for three weeks to write x minutes each day and STICK TO IT!

But to make writing a habit that is as unbreakable as brushing your teeth or putting on clothes. Finding more time to write can be difficult with busy lives, however using some simple tips you can easily find a bit of time each day for your passion.

Two simple steps needed to find the best title!

1. Make a list of all the key elements in your book/piece (these include people, places, artifacts, any type of powers, and more). Don’t try and fit them into a title yet though! Just list all of them down on one column of your paper down (try around 25)

2. Now, try listing down as many adjectives as you can that describe anything in your book. Again, try listing 25 here, but with this you could probably have a few more. Either way, list as many as you feel comfortable with in the column next to the first one.

Once you’ve done that take a look at what you’ve got. Try piecing them together, one from each column, or looking at them individually. Write your possibilities either on the lower part of the paper or on a new one and review them. If you can’t find the best title, then try listing some more, or wait until the next day and try again! Trick is to never give up!

This exercise is a good way for you to find the best title for your writing piece because a good title is one that either describes something in the book or leads into the book. These steps will also get your brain buzzing with various possibilities and sooner or later they will ‘Click!’ and that will be your title. Simply staring at a piece of paper or computer isn’t going to get your brain moving with ideas.
