Nigerian National Assembly And Its Funny Characters by wrightangle83(m): 6:27pm On Mar 19, 2019
Call them whatever you like, they have huge population of followers and admirers. Just like every human, they are entitled to criticisms. But the funny thing about them is, Nigerians have little or no knowledge of them possessing this skills or characters until they are elected into the NATIONAL ASSEMBLY as lawmakers.

PATRICK OBAHIAGBON (THE GRAMMARIAN)

Patrick Obahiagbon is a Nigerian politician and legal practitioner. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2007. He Represented the good people of Oredo federal constituency in Edo state from 2007-2011. Obahiagbon established a cult-following among many Nigerians for his grammatical caricature when engaged in social and political commentary.

DINO MELAYE (THE SINGER/ACTOR)

Dino Melaye is a Nigerian politician, a Senator and member of the 8th National Assembly, representing Kogi West Senatorial district. Dino is a member of the People’s Democratic Party. He is currently the Chairman Senate Committee on FCT. He is a very good singer/actor to the admiration of his supporters and followers. He loves cars so much that he frequently flaunts his various car collections on social media. He is loved by his people as a grass root politician. Against all odds, he wasn't recalled by his senatorial district, despite being in detention and on a hospital bad at the same time. A multi-billion naira failed initiative that was spearheaded by Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello. Dino has even recently added salt to injury as he defeated the candidate of the powers that be, by winning his re-election bid as an opposition member, and cementing his place in the incoming 9th assembly against all odds.

ADEMOLA ADELEKE (THE DANCER)

Ademola Adeleke is a Nigerian politician and Senator representing Osun-west senatorial district of Osun State, Nigeria since 2017. He is from the Adeleke family of Ede in Osun State.

Adeleke is the gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party in the Osun 2018 gubernatorial elections. An uncle to one of Nigeria's music icons Davido Adeleke, and a father of two wonderful musicians B-Red and Sina Rambo. He is a very good dancer, who isn't shy to dance any day, any time and anywhere to the admiration of his fans and followers. he is fondly called and known all over Nigeria as the dancing senator.

As the tenure of this 8th assembly comes to a Holt in june 2019, the questions on the lips of many Nigerians are

(1) Have we elected funny characters into the 9th national assembly again that only time can unravel?
(2) Are we expecting more funny persons like Dino Melaye?
(3) Will the 9th national assembly be filled with celebrities instead of lawmakers?
(4) Will more lawmakers adapt the Dino strategy, To be vocal celebrity lawmakers, funny, but be loved by your people against all odds?

ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

This is not to say we forgot the likes of BEN MURRAY-BRUCE (COMMON SENSE SENATOR) and SHEHU SANI (TWITTER SENATOR)
