– Donates medical relief materials worth millions of Naira
A Canadian based non-governmental organisation, United Sharelife Organisation (USO), USA, led by Very Revd. Dr. U. Dike, on Monday, 18th March, 2019, visited Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State and donated medical equipment worth millions of Naira as part of its humanitarian services to mankind.
The equipment donated includes 50 pairs of medicated eyeglasses, inhalers, malaria drugs and 5 wheel chairs, among others.

Their visitation was attracted by the Head of Counselling Unit, AE-FUNAI, Dr. Mrs Ngozi Nwudu, due to her acknowledgeable experience and expertise as part of her effort towards internationalising the institution and making life more meaningful to the indigent and health challenged ones.

Receiving the guests, the Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba extolled the donors for their courage and sacrifice for humanity adding that the gesture would go a long way in addressing health challenges facing some students and staff of the institution and by extension, the university community as part of its social responsibility.

The Vice-Chancellor, who was represented by the Director Admission, Mr. Noble O. Onukwue noted that the university applauds the benefactors and stands to welcome individuals and other non-governmental organisations to support the University Health Clinic because of its enormous and huge capital requirement that cannot be left in the hands of government alone.
The leader of the team, Dr. Dike reiterated that they were encouraged and moved to assist Africans because of the high level of poverty and disease ravaging the continent which require the United Nations urgent attention. “We want AE-FUNAI to be partakers of our generosity. We did it to others and must do it to you", he said.
