Nkechi (not real name) was on her way to work. She got to the bus park to see that the bus to Oshodi was nowhere near full. Afraid that she would be late to work, she walked away from the park to look for buses who pick passengers along the way.

She was lucky. Less than 5 minutes after, she got a bus going to Oshodi. But she was wary. Only a month earlier, she had been a victim of a ‘one chance bus’, buses that pretend to pick passengers but which are full of thieves who then attack unsuspecting victims once the bus is in motion.
