The people of Ijagbo community are basking in high euphoria as Adetunji Oyabambi, a governorship candidate in the just concluded elections, rehabilitated a borehole system that has been lying fallow for several months. This is coming a few days after the politician donated some household commodities, medical supplies and an electrical power generating set to the Mandala Maximum Prison in Ilorin.

Before this time, the people of Ijagbo community have been plagued by absence of potable pipe-borne water for years. This problem was compounded when one of the borehole systems that has been serving as one of the major source of drinkable water to the community became faulty.

Fortunately for the community, the Ijagbo-born Kwara State governorship candidate for the United Democratic Party rose to alleviate the suffering of the people of his community by repairing the borehole, transforming it to a state-of-the-art amenity to provide a lasting solution to the malaise of water scarcity in the community.

In the spirit of appreciation to this philanthropic gesture, one Mr. Lateef Lawal who spoke on behalf of the youths in the community during the commissioning of the electric-powered borehole expressed the heart-felt gratitude of the community and charged the politician to be unwavering in his acts of charity.

He further stressed that Asake Inc, the foundation founded by Oyabambi and his wife through which the project was implemented, transcends polity as it has been known to deliver different projects across the state.

It would be recalled that run-up to the just concluded governorship election, Oyabambi had declared support for the candidate or the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdulrazack Abdulrahman towards forming a formidable force to achieve total liberation from godfatherism in Kwara State.
