Commissioning Turns Sour As FCT Minister Suspends Director!

The minister of federal capital territory, Malam Muhammad M Bello has suspended the director of the FCT Fire Service , Mr Julius Opetunsin over alleged dereliction of duty & perceived incompetence
It all happened during the commissioning of refurbished fire fighting equipments at the FCT Fire Service headquarters in which the FCT Minister was invited. The trouble started when the minister officially commissioned the vehicles and moved closer to inspect them.
To his shock, the ambulances had no air conditioning facilities and oxygen, while he opened one of the drawers to check the first aid kit and found out that it was dusty and un kept with no drugs inside.
The minister moved ahead to inspect the fire fighting truck and asked for a brief display but there too he was shocked to be told that there is no water in the tank!
Though the minister managed to contain his anger during his speech after the inspection but issues got more complicated when he decided to check their offices, he discovered that log books were not kept by most of the departments and also discovered that the six plats apartments built for officers on duty were occupied by the top ranking officials of the fire service, the minister also received the shock of his life when he decided to inspect the fire tower and found out that it is dusty and un kept.
He there after directed that the director which is an assistant controller of fire be suspended for one week with immediate effect and he shall report himself to the Headquarters for further action.
