How does getting a birth certificate (which is free btw) punish kids...
The aversion of Nigerians to keeping records and generally being organized is truly shocking!

Seems your IPOB wife had infected your brain ?
What of children born at home in remote villages in Ondo states without any clinics or hospital.?

A birth certificate is merely the registration of a live birth, so you do not need to have been born in a hospital/clinic to get one...

They need to step up on their awareness please. Issuing threats and ultimatums which will not affect the patents but the kids is equivalent to punishing the kids.

Lol so many people complaining. It should be thst hard to get birth certificates in this decade. The vast majority of people should have one or will need one anyway to get annother form of ID.

I don't get how this is a punishment? It costs the parents nothing to register their child's birth at the NPC. In fact the government incurs costs for every registered child. So how is this a punishment? Plus the parents can register their child's birth when the child is aged 0-5. So if they are poor now, they can save within that time window and get the child registered
