Escape Night Club, one of the upscale night clubs in Lagos situated at Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island has been shut down; not only that, the management of the club are also going ahead to publish list of debtors that played a huge role in winding down the business.

Although the CEO of the club, Richard Nnadi popularly known as Duke of Spades had earlier announced the shutdown in an earlier Instagram post in January, he was taken seriously, until a couple of hours ago when the club announced the news on its official Instagram page, @escapelagos.
The club management blamed a long debtors list as a major reason it couldn’t sustain the business and possibly pay its workers. It wrote:” Everyone Always Said
“Save the Relationship don’t expose your customers”
So we kept quiet till finally we couldn’t sustain the club anymore so we had to close the business!
These people that owed us didn’t want us to survive.. These people didn’t want us to be able to pay staff salaries…. These people put over 80 families without a source of income cos we had to shut down!

In another post, Mr. Richard also noted that since the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC and SARS began frequently raiding clubs for criminals, especially the popular ‘Yahoo Boys’; business had gone south for Escape Nightclub.
Meanwhile recently in a classy society wedding ceremony in Lagos, Duke of Spades as he is famously known, married his fiancée, Chioma Nwakwesi, General Manager, Strategy and Performance at Zaron Cosmetics.

Chioma Chiom as he fondly calls her is a statistics graduate from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria
