JOB STATEMENT

Bank tellers are responsible for customer financial transactions such as making and confirming deposits, withdrawals, transfers and money orders. Tellers are to know the in and out of the banking systems and policies. A bank teller's duty also includes counting cash, balancing numbers, answering phones, filing deposit slips and paperwork at the end of the day. Tellers ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures for cash management, cross-selling products and services.

REQUIREMENTS

Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits slips, issuing savings withdrawals, traveller's checks and payments from the customers. Records transactions by logging checks and other special services. Preparing currency transaction reports. Informing customers of new services and product promotions. Ascertaining customer account needs. Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; Exchanging foreign currencies; provide special statements, copies, and referrals. Completing safe-deposit box procedures. Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions. Reconciling loan coupons and other transactions and turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller. Maintaining the supply of cash and currency flow. Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Possess an OND/HNDHave experience handling cash, as well as personal informationPass a thorough background checkPossess basic computer skills. Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
