Medical Biochemistry Question by oluchi6602(m): 7:36am On Mar 30, 2019
Good morning friends, I'm a pharmacy student 200 level though, this question was asked in our medical biochemistry class which may serve as our CA depending on how the students attend to it, the site I would have obtained the answer requested me to pay but I could not due to my insufficient financial status at the moment, so I deemed it wise to bring it here where I can also get professional answers.
* Why are two closely related individuals (siblings) more similar in their DNA than are two distantly related individuals (cousins)?*

Siblings share the same genetic makeup of their parents. So definitely their DNA would be similar.
So if Mr. A and Mr. B are siblings their genetic makeup is a combination of genes from their parents, When Both Mr. A and B gets married to Mrs C and D.

Mr. A+C = Junior, Jerry
Mr. B+D= Mary, Joy

The DNA of Junior and Mary would differ
But the DNA of Junior and Jerry would be similar because of their progenitor
