AirPower was first proclaimed in 2017 aboard the iPhone X and iPhone eight, the primary Apple phones to support wireless charging. At the time, Apple aforementioned it would launch in 2018 however it never did.

AirPower was planned to be a wireless charger for Apple product that allowed users to top off their batteries by merely inserting their device on the mat.

However, Apple users will still wirelessly charge their phones victimization charging mats from alternative manufacturers that use the QI wireless charging standard.

A new version of AirPods with wireless charging capability was free in the week. Its packaging mentioned AirPower.

Apple shares were up concerning half a percentage point in late-day commerce, and also the announcement did not move the stock.

You're right, Apple's policy in recent years has been very strange. They created very expensive smartphones or laptops, but they did not introduce such technologies of fast or wireless charging. It seems strange to me.

However, judging from the latest technology news, they are now on the right road and are going to launch a budget line of smartphones in the form of SE 2
