MORE WORKERS ARE GIVING UP THEIR PERSONAL WORK SPACE

60% of 950 companies surveyed by the International Facility Management Association say they now have unassigned work spaces in their offices, and about half say the number of empoyees using unassigned desks has risen over the past two years. In an effort to boost creativity and save on space, American Express designates some 20% of the 5000 people at its New York Headquarters as “club” employees, meaning that they are on-site less than full-time and work at unassigned desks.
