Kate Wright paid tribute to Rio Ferdinand's late wife Rebecca Ellison, who passed away from breast cancer in 2015, aged 35, with a touching Mother's Day card.

27-year-old Kate, who is stepmother to 40-year-old Rio's three children, Lorenz, 12, and Tate, ten, included an image of herself and the children's grandparents.

Captioning the sweet image, which was shared to Instagram on Sunday, she wrote: 'Lovely Mother’s Day dinner with family, we celebrated all 6 of us today.

'How lucky we all are to have hearts that can love after so much pain. Happy Mother’s Day to everyone.'
