What does this imply? Nullifying the election primaries. Does it now mean that the supposed right winner of the primaries from this court judgement will now be adjudged the winner of the main senate elections despite the fact he wasn't the one that contested?
The same questions l was about to ask grin

In the eyes of the Electoral law, the votes belong to the party not the individual contesting

capital NO. It was to forestall the scenario you painted (same happened in 2006 amaechi v inec) that the electoral act was amended in 2010. A rerun will be conducted for the senatorial district by INEC subject to an appeal by nwaboshi.

The Supreme Court has ruled that all votes scored during the elections belongs to the party. So in this case if Nwoko finally get same judgement in the Supreme Court then He will become the Senator Elect.

This rubbish must stop. I think Nigeria need a Bill that will compel the judiciary to finish all cases of primary elections before the election proper.

Sure!!! That's how the Lizard of Ubima became a Governor. He never contested the general election. It was PDP primaries that he contested and the result had "K" leg according to Obasanjo until the judiciary strengthen the leg.

Stop misleading people. the votes belong to party not individuals. As long as the court is able to determine a rightful primary election winner, nothing like rerun here. That is one of the reasons INEC is always invited to witness every primary election.
