|What's Your Oldest Serviceable Personal Possesion? by Nyceguy92: 10:20pm On Apr 05, 2019|
We all acquire personal items and throw them away because they have become old or no longer useful, etc.
But some items tend to last and last while still serving their purposes.
This may be either as a result of good handling or the item is real good stuff.
I have two personal possessions that still look like new in spite of their ages. Wait for how old they are today.
One is a brown men's leather wallet, which I bought for N500 at a time my monthly pay was about 3K+.
It needs only a change of the zipper, otherwise no problem.
The other is a brown Cortina men's belt given to me as a gift by a guy living in abroad. It actually came with suspenders.
Although I have been using the belt fairly regularly, it still looks well preserved and attracts compliments.
Now, how old are my precious items?
Do the math: I acquired both belt and wallet in 1992.
That's some 26 frigging years!
I guess they have lasted this long because of the good quality and good handling; I judge myself a careful person.
What's your story? Do you have anything this old and still beautiful?
