No doubt buying a used phone is a good way to save money it could also be a way to lose it fast and maybe get arrested if the phones are not properly sourced.

You need to be sure the phone you are buying is not stolen or totally dead and repackaged for you by the seller. I will give you some tips bordering how to IDENTIFY a good seller and how to pick the best phone. Identifying a good seller is the first step towards getting a great deal.

— *Seller:* Make sure he is traceable. Especially if you met him online, ask for as many necessary Information as possible. Confirm his business address amongst other things.

— Seek for RECEIPT of your purchase and make sure the receipt carries his business address.

— Check his probity: We all have our measures for identifying trustworthy people, to me tattoos are a big RED sign - what's yours?

— Don't PAY in cash: This is important so you can trace him in case he decides to elope with your money. Having his bank details and evidence of payment can help you In tracking him . (Scammers usually demand cash payments)
Run from ridiculously CHEAP prices.

*What about the Phone?*

If your seller meets the above requirements, then we should talk about the phone.

— Be sure the phone is NOT locked.

— During your conversation with the seller, especially for iPhones, ask if the phone is worldwide unlock or factory unlocked. Only go for the factory unlock!!!

Make sure there is no iCloud account on the phone.

Check the hardware:
Check if the mouth and earpiece are working well.

For other brands simply observe how fast it takes the battery to drop!

Ask for after sales support
After you confirmed the phone to be free from any apparent defect ask your seller to give you some number of days in which if you find any defect on the phone you could return it and get refunded or get a replacement. The standard is between 3 or 7 working days
