name the Emirs involved in the banditry activities
The Zamfara state council of chiefs has denied
the allegation levelled against them by the
minister of defence, Monsur Dan-Ali, that some
of royal fathers in the state are involved in the
banditry activities in the state.
Legit.ng regional reporter in Zamfara, Lawal
Tsalha, reports that this was made known on
Thursday, April 11, following an emergency
meeting held by the council's members at the
state ministry for local government and
chieftaincy affairs.

The spokesperson of the council, Emir of
Bungudu, Alhaji Muhammad Attahiru, called on
the defense minister to be specific on his
allegation and mention the names of the Emirs
that are involved in the banditry.
They council said it was waiting for the positive
response of the minister otherwise they would
take appropriate action against him.
The council, however, appreciated the effort of
the federal government in controlling the
security situation in the state.
The council of chiefs urged the military to be
careful while bombing suspected areas of
hoodlums as many innocent people are being
affected.
