MultiChoice, Africa’s leading entertainment provider, today announced a new pop- up channel called Naija Stand-Up Comedy coming on Monday, April 15 for their DStv and GOtv subscribers.

Subscribers can expect to enjoy 100% Nigerian comedy shows – ticketed stand shows, skits, and produced shows on the Naija Stand-Up Comedy pop-up channel. The pop-up channel promises viewers tickets to some of the biggest comedy shows they may have missed in the past and offers entertainment during the Easter period.

Last month, two pop-up channels were launched on DStv; M-Net Movies Epic Battle Pop-Up Channel which focused on epic battles from the M-Net movies stable like Troy, Pearl harbour, Saving Private Ryan etc and SuperheroHQ which included animation series, animation movies, as well as live-action superhero-themed movies like Batman, Superman, Justice League, Green Lantern and Teen Titans.

The Naija Stand-Up Comedy pop up channel which will run from April 15 – May 1 2019, will provide fresh content daily. It is available to DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact and Family subscribers and to GOtv Max subscribers and will be on numbers: DStv channel 197 and GOtv 28.

Viewers can look forward to top comedy shows such as Alibaba’s January 1st Concert, also known as the official celebration event of the new year; Lord of the Ribs, AY Live, Funny Bone Untamed, Comedy Nites with IK, and Mama Tobi Untamed “The Homecoming”.

I love DStv’s pop up channels.
They are always fresh and a good way to showcase their media archive from 1993 till date.

Later on that channel will be viewed on higher bouquet . I still don't get why multi choice keeps coming up with many channels beyond the reach of low income earners
