Guestlander:The headquarters of Ugbo is Igbokoda. There are Ugbo towns in Igbo Land, e.g., Ugbo in Enugu State. So, what gives? |

igbodefender:The Ugbo in Yoruba is not the same as the eastern Ibo. Your Igbo means all while Yoruba means forest. |

The Igbo (pronounced as Ugbo be Eastern Yoruba dialets) in Ancient Ile-Ife are NOT the same as the present Igbo people. I think the Ooni is mixing the story up. This is the kind of stuff you get when you make someone not rooted in the Yore, tradition, History and customs of his people a traditional ruler because he has money. The late Oonis Adesoji Aderemi or Sijuade Olubuse will never make such blunders because they were born into royalty and we'll rooted in the History and customs of their people. ChristianNorth: |
