Terrified fans iconic movie Game of Thrones have expressed their displeasure in the photo posted by one of the cast of the movie, Sophie Turner who acted the character of Sansa Stark, the eldest daughter of Eddard Starkwere.

The 23-year-old actress, took to Instagram to post a picture of herself laying down with her eyes closed during the final season Winterfell on Monday.

However the picture has since left fans terrified, with some predicting it could be a possible foreshadowing of what is to come for the eldest daughter of Eddard Stark.

A message next to the picture, which has since gathered 1.7million views, read: ‘In honour of the final season of Thrones premiering tonight …. Here’s a picture of me asleep on set.’

Believing the picture implied something far more sinister some fans took to Instagram to share their terrified thoughts.

One user, jinjootheguitargirl wrote: ‘Wake up Sansa!!!!!’

While another, ericraydavidson, wrote: ‘Is this a spoiler’

Another fan, gameofthronesvoid, wrote : ‘Does this mean that Sansa is gonna die.’

While jessica.10.19 wrote: ‘Girl if this is a pic of you dead on set I’m blocking you! Don’t play with me.’

Another user wrote: ‘You definitely look dead here but okay.’

The eighth and final season of the long-running drama, which premiered on Sky Atlantic on Monday morning, will see the famous faces go head to head for Iron Throne to become ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.

Speaking to Esquire Magazine this week actor Kit Harrington, 32, revealed how he broke down after filming wrapped for the final season of the drama.

The actor said: ‘Then they called “Wrap!” and I just f***ing broke down.

‘It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again. It wasn’t so much about Jon.

‘It was about not being in this world, not getting to smell those smells, fight those fights, be with these people – the whole package.’
