Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Protesting In 2010 With Dele Momodu, Charly Boy.Throwback by Ayodele70: 7:31am On Apr 17, 2019
Following the backlash Omotola Jalade has been receiving on social media for saying that the country under Buhari and Osinbajo's watch is hellish, other Nigerians in support of her comment have dug out throwback photos of when she joined thousands of Nigerians to protest in 2010.

Recall that Buhari's social media aide, Bashir and some Nigerians accused the actress of not making clean money and also just speaking because money is no longer in circulation to reach her "as usual".

In 2010, thousands of Nigerian youths led by Omotola Jalade, Chude Jideonwo, Charly Boy, Ovation Publisher Dele Momodu, and others hit the streets of Abuja to protest the long absence of the then Nigerian President, Musa Yar'Adua, and the poor state of the oil rich nation's infrastructure including frequent power blackouts and acute shortage of fuel.

They marched under the coalition 'Enough Is Enough', and were prevented by state police from entering the premises of the National Assembly to vent their anger and frustrations with Assembly leaders.

The visibly angry youths with their placards sat in front of the first gate to the Assembly for a while before forcefully trying to gain entry into the complex but were again prevented by policemen.

The youths are demanding that President Yar'Adua who is gravely ill should resign from office or be impeached by the National Assembly.

Good from from Omotola.
We need more of this from the likes of Omotola, it makes the nation grow.
Constructive Critism is a good thing is a good thing for the progress of our country.
We are talking about critics who are genuinely concerned about a better Nigeria,. You will know them because when they see good efforts of government they applaud, as she did

It is good for our once battered DEMOCRACY which is only beginning to take shape now.

any protest against jonathan ?

i have never seen her protest or criticize obasanjo and jonathan.

if you have, please show me.

olas24u:

What do you mean?are we talking about tribe or country?
when you want to act like you are fighting for the masses, you do it consistently without being partisan.

is obasanjo a good president? is jonathan a good president? both are southerners and christians. even in the face of boko haram destruction and extreme hardship, our aunty omotola disappeared and no where to be found. only to resurface whenever northern muslim presidents are ruling.

A true activist will never appear partisan or show a bigot tendencies. they fight for the masses no matter who is in government.
e.g fela, faweinhimi etc.

not all these useless yeyebrities like charlieboy abi na charliekid that donot pay tax but suddenly become activist so they can get paid from politics.

this is why i still prefer to listen to edris abdulkareem. he criticized obasanjo as much as he criticized buhari. no hard feeling.

funny how those who protested during the PDP era have now lost their voice, 1$ is now 360+, Fuel used to be #87 but now #145 probaly will soon go over #180, Inflation rate was single digit but is now double digit yet in-spite of all of these, those who protested then couldn't do so any more. what an irony

Quite unfortunate you’re still a mental slave in 2019:
All the best sha.

Omotola has my maximum respect.
Didn’t really Bleep with her in the past but seeing that she used her platform to speak out for the largely ungrateful and docile masses, I’d say kudos to her

Buhari supporters both in government and among the populace are mannerless, culture less pigs.

One could be forced to think buhari is the first president in Nigeria to have supporters.

The truth of the matter is that nollywood is no more getting support and fund compare to the days of GEJ. That's why most nollywood stars don't support Buhari government

I've seen the bolded post from a different moniker, just like copy and paste. Are you getting tired and weary of being creative or election is over and money isn't coming in anymore from your paymasters? Or Is this what your paymasters told you to be posting? Nigeria is difficult let's accept this fact and stop playing useless politics. What Nigeria are we leaving for our children tomorrow?

Buhari supporters take pride in poverty

They cherish Hunger and suffering which they see as a sign of meekness...

This is the problem we have...

Even Buhari will proudly say he is poor.. And Zombies will cheer because they are poor

What a pity
