When this matter commenced at the Federal High Court Awka, there was a subsisting ex- parte order to seize the company's properties despite the parties having reached an agreement to pay AMCON the sum of 70 Million Naira to settle the interest debt. However, AMCON could not levy execution within 14 days as stipulated by their Act and all ex- parte orders usually have a short life span.That is why it is called ex-parte.
