THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF EKITI STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY, DR JOHN KAYODE FAYEMI TO FLAG OFF HIKE EKITI MOUNTAIN SAFARI ON EASTER MONDAY IN ADO-EKITI.

Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital will witness an array of visitors in the ancient town Today, Monday 22nd April, 2019 for the maiden edition of much publicized hiking adventure tagged; “Discover Ekiti; Hike Ekiti Mountain Safari”. The event which is an initiative of a tourism club, Discover Ekiti Tourism club will be flagged off by H.E, Dr Kayode Fayemi, the executive governor of Ekiti State

The event which will be officially launched to set up the maiden edition of the event has a sole vision to showcase Ekiti to the world and attract tourists to the State. While speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the team leader of the Discover Ekiti Project, Michael Peculiar Ekiran revealed that a lot of work has been done by his group in order to project the tourism potentials of the State and place it on the world map where it can also enjoy the same attention as UAE, Tanzania, Kenya, Dubai, etc.

Michael Peculiar who promised that the event will be adventurous and exciting declared that guests such as the honourable Commissioner of Information, Tourism and Values Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua and the D.G, Ekiti Council of Arts and Culture, Mr Wale Lanre Ojo will grace the event.

The event which will attract hikers from within and outside Nigeria, amongst is Busuyi Asaolu who has climbed and hoisted the Nigerian flag on mount Kilimanjaro, is scheduled to take off by 7am and has its starting point at Ofin hills, opposite police headquarters, Iyin road, Ado-Ekiti and terminates at Tungba hills at Tungba village.

While explaining that there will be other side attraction such as visitation to Esa cave, ESu ESa and the Agogo Esa, all on the Esa Hill which form part of the adventure, Ekiran stated that the whole event will be ended with a picnic on the Ofin hill and promised that the experience is a must for all lovers of nature.
