He was among those kidnapped last Friday at the Timber market. The ransom couldn't be rounded up on time. Few minutes ago we heard he was among some men shot at Fly-Over Junction. We went to confirm. It was true. My heart goes out to his industrous wife. . .only God knows why he had to die a violent death.

I weep for Aba! cry

Aba has so much potential! We need the people to rise up and kill these kidnappers. Time for Jungle Justice.

The army needs to be sent in. I wonder what the implications of a state of emergency would be?

If people are arming themselves up north, why don't they are themselves down south?

Osisikankwu, the kidnap kingpin in Aba, goes about in the day, untouched. Unpertubed. He even drops high profile hostages with his SUV after payment. T.A Orji cannot feign ignorance of his existence. As he folds his hands and watches calamity befall innocent creatures of God, I hope God pays him back with his own coin.

Aba will soon be ghost land . . . . . .

BTW, Why can't you guys re-organise the original bakassi that used odeshi power to flush out criminals. . . grin

I think we are treating the issue of kidnapping with kid glove. More stern measures just need to be applied. This is getting too much.

Mbulela, long time, hope you're doing good?
Re: Just Lost A Good Neighbour To Kidnappers. by TewMuch: 6:29am On Sep 17, 2010
I thought this was discussed nd d Igbo's argued JTF was too much for the East.Seems they are not too bothered by it.Hope it doesn't get to the point that JTF is begged to come in.This is so brazen. How come these kidnappers can't be ambushed when walking freely?I thought Igbo's were brave.grin

I have advised you to move down to south west were your life and security can be guaranteed, the south east is not safe anymore.may your neighbour's soul rest in peace.

slap1, instead of posting on NL, better be gathering the "general" ransom together. Leave it with a trusted family member, you know, for just in case. grin grin

But I pray nothing happens to you tho.

Yea, just not in Ekiti. By the time you know it, my beautiful state would be clustered with kidnappers. Atleat let us deal with those retarded mallams first.

FYI, I'm from Umuhu-Ukwu, Atta, in Ikeduru L.G.A of Imo State. My state is among the most peaceful states in Nigeria. So at worst, I can go to our place in Owerri and stay, but my family stays in Aba.

Of course the Yorubas would enjoy hearing this.

Where is ChinenyeN? These are his Ngwa people!

I'm making it as subtle as I can. This is a DAILY occurence and I think this is the only way I can make the plights of these people known to the world, since the press can't be ubiquitous. But if u got anybody in Aba, give 'em a call.

Are you minding him? Same Uchenna that was clamoring for the unification of the Igbo nation is the same one also trying to separate the nation by slyly pushing the Ngwas aside like they're rotten food.

Anybody can be a victim.this should be this same line that was read to the poor dead man.abeg ,there is nothing bad in keeping your life at rest.
Re: Just Lost A Good Neighbour To Kidnappers. by slap1(m): 7:52am On Sep 17, 2010
We can all afford to treat this as a regional issue till it escalates. . .EzeUche was only joking with Chinenye, I think. Even if he wasn't I think there's nothing wrong in trying to point out the particular people responsible for the crime. When Jos was boiling, why not use a centralized word like Hausa, instead of Berom or Jos North?
Re: Just Lost A Good Neighbour To Kidnappers. by slap1(m): 7:58am On Sep 17, 2010
Relocation is not quite easy, at least not with a father that believes nowhere is safe if God is not with you. For me, I can bade Aba goodbye today, forever! But my siblings are the reason I'm still here, can't leave them. Don't know how they're gonna fare when I get back to school. . .
Re: Just Lost A Good Neighbour To Kidnappers. by Nobody: 7:59am On Sep 17, 2010
because there is clear cut difference between the history of the two.

is that really the best insult you could come up with?
you really need to try harder or better still try someone else as i am not in that league of trading insults online.
the president needs to sit up and address this issue of kidnapping. It is fast enveloping the entire country.
In the absence of security, we have nothing left.
The man seems to be spending all his time politicking and campaigning on FB.
Playing politics with this kidnapping thing is akin to mass suicide and i can't see any tangible effort in arresting the menace.

I had the same questions until i visited the south east recently, half of the kidnapping stories are not even told.
imagine where someone goes to visit his family in Aba or neighbouring town and parks his car in PH or calabar and goes with public transport to Aba, in order to avoid attention and possible kidnap?
