Hey There,

Hope you had a splendid Easter Celebration.

So we're all back to work, and back to the familiar feeling of having so much to get done in so little time that sometimes we wish we could add an hour or two extra to the normal 24 hours we have.

Everyone knows how precious and essential time is to every business, yet a very few understand how to manage it and those who learn appear more productive and knowledgeable than their contemporaries.

Since we can't control time, here are a few tips on how to manage time and boost overall productivity at your workplace:

1. Set Time Limits: Set yourself a specific time and focus on the task. Turn off social media alerts and you'll be amazed to see how easy it can be to complete tasks within the time limit you've set. You can apply the technique to every area of your work activities and see your productivity skyrocket.

2. Multitasking is a scam: We all believe we can multitask and handle as many things as possible at a time but in truth, Our brain performs much better when it focuses on one task. While multitasking the brain has to stop one process, switch and align to another function, then stop that process to get back to the previous process. It takes twice as much the time to complete one task because of all the stopping, switching and aligning.

3. Plan and Visualize: Spend a few minutes before work to make a plan and visualize your day ahead. know the goals you have to achieve, it saves you an hour or two in execution since your mind is already tuned into those tasks.

4. Prioritize: In situations where a lot has to be done take a sheet of paper or a spreadsheet and list all the tasks you need to get done in order of urgency and importance. This helps you choose and do the work that really matters and you are able to stand out.

Now that you know, open up your laptop and get some useful work done.
