Sterling Calls For 9-Point Penalty for Racist Fans’ Clubs
Manchester City and England forward Raheem Sterling has called on clubs whose fans racially abuse players to be hit with a nine-point penalty, saying current punishments meant the issue was “nowhere near being sorted” by football authorities.

Sterling made this call in a press release on Times newspaper.

According to him, soccer authorities must adopt radical changes to tackle the menace after signing a manifesto that calls for consistent and suitable punishment for racist and discriminatory behaviour.

2019 UTME: JAMB Arrests 100 Exam Cheats, Shut Down 2 CBT Centres in Abia

No fewer than 100 suspected candidates have been arrested by security operatives across four centres for alleged involvement in examination malpractices at the just-concluded 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) that was conducted from April 15 to 17, 2019.

This was contained in the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) official weekly bulletin on Monday, April 22, 2019 signed by the Board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin.

According to Fabian, the fraudsters were engaged in multiple registrations to facilitate impersonation during the examination.

UNICEF Confirms Death of 47 Children in Sri Lanka Suicide Bomb Attack

The United Nations has revealed that no fewer than 45 children were among the 320 people killed in the suicide bomb attack in Sri Lanka.

This was disclosed by the UNICEF spokesman Christophe Boulierac during an interview with Journalists in Geneva on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

Speaking with Journalists, Christophe noted that the toll from Sunday’s attacks could rise as many other minors are wounded while others are fighting for their lives.
