The Executive Chairman of Nsukka LGA, Hon. Patrick Omeje Jnr. On Wednesday the 24th day of April, 2019 swore in the newly elected Executives of the Nsukka Building Material Association after a protracted leadership tussle in the market. The LGA conducted a free and fair election which led to the emergency of the excos.
The talking point was the manner at which the new elected exco was sworn in with a daily devotional book "Open Heaven" instead of the Bible or Qur'an as stipulated by the constitution.

This saw an uproar online as people think the new elected exco's have ulterior motive for refusing to swear with the Holy book. Many suggested that the exco's are shying away because they know they can't keep to the oat. Who is scared of the Holy book?
