Former Governor of Abia State and Senator Elect for Abia North Senatorial district, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has returned to Nigeria after his trip to South Africa.

The Billionaire Business Man who recently embarked on the week long trip on the 18th of April arrived the International wing of the Akanu Ibiam Airport ,Enugu on Thursday at exactly 15 minutes to 8am aboard his customised N7 OUK private jet aircraft .

Dr. Kalu had met with the former President of South Africa Thabo Mbeki in Johannesburg where they discussed on pertinent issues especially how to end the lingering xenophobia attacks on fellow Africans.

He was received at the Airport by his personal aides which included Rev. Jemimah Ola Kalu former Abia State Permanent Secretary & DG of his Senatorial Campaign , Dr. Frank Osita Chuks, others and a waiting convoy deployed by Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Dr. Kalu was greeted to cheers from thousands of supporters who trooped to the airport to welcome the Abia North Senator (elect). Kalu later joined the convoy and headed straight to the Enugu state Lion Building Government House where he was received by the Governor of the State Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Recall that Dr. Orji Kalu also participated in the endorsement ceremony of the African National Congress(ANC) by the former President of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki in Johannesburg.

The former Governor and his wife, Mrs. Ifunanya Kalu, were on Monday night hosted to a dinner by His Excellency, Sir Chief Dr Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom.
 
Similarly, popular Nigerian pastor and president/founder of Believers Loveworld aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilomen on Sunday played host to the former governor in a special church service organized in his South African church, as part of activities to mark his 59th Birthday.
