Some boat passengers were gripped with fear as their boat ran out of fuel while in the middle of a river in Lagos.

A viral video has emerged on social media showing some boat passengers scared and talking to themselves as they waited for help.

Local reports showed that they remained stagnant for about 30minutes before help finally came.

Some of them were scared as they couldn't swim.
