The one I hate the most is where they won't charge you because you have 0 balance, but the moment you get small alert, the charges show up and shrink your balance

I am a shareholder in three of those banks, namely Zenith, FBN and Access. I'm happy that my companies are making ''cool'' profit and it's reflecting in my dividends. You would too, if you were in my shoes. The good thing is that I am not a customer of any of those banks. So I am not being gyped of money in the name of account maintenance fee. Talk about eating your cake and having it.

The report is not just about the listed banks, except you don't operate an account with any bank in Nigeria, you can't avoid the stated charges as it is approved by CBN.
The listed banks had such huge sum due to volume of transaction and customers population size.

Only N230? They debit X2 of that and sometimes less frm my account regularly. No phone SMS alert, no email notification, absolutely nothing. I challenged them several times about these deductions and they had nothing to say aside the usual drivel.

Access bank keeps charging me N50 every month as card maintenance fee for a card I have not used for a very long time though they also charged me for the card when they gave it to me. There is something certainly wrong with the ways most banks charge customers in Nigeria.

CBN do something ohhhh, this banks are thieves. Zenith bank is the worst. They charged me 6,000 plus for account maintenance, sms charge, and atm card maintenance. This country is wicked and lawless, I have complained to my account officer and nothing had happened. I just transfered 100k to my Zenith current account, immediately they took 26 naira from my money. God will punish you all, greedy, wicked banks. Nigeria is a jungle, the banks rob the people, and the government do nothing.

Why won't they rake in billions. When you send money via ussd they charge you N50 and also charge the receiver the same amount.

Even interbank transfer incurrrs N20 on GTBank ATM while they'll still charge you the normal money for monthly maintenance
