Information gathered by Groovenaija360 has it that Facebook users under the coordination of Nwibakpo Golden are currently building a new house for an old childless widow in Kono Boue in Khana local government area of Rivers state.

Here is what the coordinator shared about the recent stage of the building.

THE RAINS ARE HERE, LET'S HELP FINISH MAMA'S FACEBOOK HOUSE

This Mama is Nwada Liiloo from Kono Boue in Khana local government area of Rivers state. She is a childless widow, having lost her husband and only daughter many years ago.

Despite her daily struggle with poverty, this Igbo woman who got married to her Ogoni heart-throb has continued to live with her husband’s people long after his demise.

The pitiable state of her mud home caught the attention of Nwibakpo Golden last year and he hurriedly engaged Facebook to mobilize funds and materials to build her a more comfortable home.
Golden said he met the old lady crying on one of the rainy days as the mud walls of her home were almost falling and thatch roof of the house was leaking profusely.

Golden and his friends have come a long way in their efforts to complete the building with money and materials provided by good spirited Nigerians who responded to his Facebook call.

Now, they need to complete the building and hand over to Mama before the rainy season enters full gear but they have run out of funds.

Below is the message sent by Golden to FR NEWS:

Dear Partners, we are sending you this message with regards to your promise towards the building project of the Boue Childless widow. Few months ago we came on Facebook with the terrible photos of the falling thatch house of Mama Nwada Liiloo.

Within few weeks we all raised money through Facebook from all over the world to put up a one bedroom flat in what has been called FACEBOOK HOUSE.
Today, this is the stage of that work that you have all supported with your hard earned money.

As at now we need the following items to complete the house and hand it over to her within 3 weeks:

1. Two doors N10,000 each
2. Four louvre windows N6200 each
3. One trip of sand N 10,000 4. 10 bags of cement N 2500 per bag We are also looking for other items such as bed, chairs, even if old.
She has been at a makeshift house since we began the building and we want her to move in as quick as possible.
