The official statistics presented by the Police today in the National Assembly, Abuja, revealed that more people have been killed in Nigeria in 2019 than any war torn country in the world.The statistics also indicate that about 700 people have been kidnapped nationwide while 1,071 souls have been forcefully taken between January to April, 2019.These revelation makes one wonder how unsafe the country has become.Activist cum Senator representing Kaduna Central, Sen. Shehu Sani lamented the unfortunate situation of the country and the people. He said Nigeria is sick and bleeding if we have recorded such an high number of killings in only four months. He added that even countries at war have no such avoidable records yet.Senator Shehu Sani saidGoing by the Police official statistics that 1,071 Nigerians were killed and 685 were kidnapped within FOUR months,no any other nation at war whether Syria,Afghanistan,Yemen or Somalia surpassed these horrific and tragic figures.Our country is sick and bleeding.
