A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, said on Friday that he was set to dump the opposition party for the ruling All Progressives Party, APC.

Ogunlewe, a former Minister of Works, confirmed the development in an interview with a political correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos State.

He was reacting to the recent defection of his son, Moyosore from the PDP to the APC.

Moyosore contested for a place in the Lagos State House of Assembly on the platform of the PDP but lost and soon after, announced his resignation from the PDP.

He has been attending APC meetings in his area with other APC chieftains, including Bayo Osinowo, a member of the state assembly and senator-elect for the Lagos East Senatorial District.

I am not sure PDP will survive the opposition politics this time around with the rate their members are defecting. Once the National Assembly is taking away from them It will be the end. Dogara and Saraki gave them the oxygen to survive the last 4 years.

Is there anybody of substance left in Lagos PDP? Seems the party is finally dead and buried in the state.

PDP is more cordinated and united than apc. Watch what will happen to apc without buhari. PDP is reclaiming lost grounds by 2023 it might have upto 20 states.

That is the sad truth. Without Saraki and Dogara in the NASS, PDP would be dead by now. This is the reason they are encouraging some rebellious and renegade members of APC to disobey APC zoning arrangement and get their support.

LOL... And you think the APC folks are just sitting on their hands and not learning the ropes? Why don't you start by predicting that the APC will in June commit the same blunder it did during the 2015 saga to elect the "leadership" of the current 8th NASS?

Anyways, na you get your mind...you should always find a way to be upbeat about the PDP which party is apparently the one you have a soft spot for.

Good luck!

It shouldn’t be a surprise. When an elderly person ties corn/maize around d waist, he automatically becomes play-mates of fowl. His unaab’s ghost is still roaming so, he needs cover and cleansing. And joining apc is d only guaranteed means.
