More and more Nigerain/African Afrobeat artists are signing up with american record label and it seems that black people don't learn from history. In America they replaced rock, RnB, Hip Hop, Jazz from black faces to white faces. Afrobeat is getting famous wordwide and i promiss you in 10 years most of the top artist are going to be white and not black/african. White people love stealing culture and make money out of it. Look at hip hop billboards, most of them are white. But white people in America don't let black people chart in their genre such as country music, recently they removed a black artist with a country song on top billboard: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/old-town-road-lil-nas-x-billboard-removes-song-from-hot-country-critics-question-race-factor/

I don't see that happening. Were whites able to steal reggae and dancehall or soca? Nope. The thing that bars them from doing so is the language barrier. They can steal hip hop and r&b because those are sang in English by their fellow (black) Americans. But how many of them are ready to learn brokin' or any African language to start singing Afrobeat? Sorry, I don't see it happening.

You would be surprised how easy it is, and u like reggea Afrobeat is quikly gaining its stage in international music, you have big artists such as Drake using it and lot of young people like its makeup, its just more likeble. You don’t know how far white people will go when there is money involved, we will se in 10 years:
