China saw a total of 195 million domestic tourist trips made during the four-day May Day holiday, up 13.7 percent from last year. Tourism revenue reached 117.67 billion yuan ($17.48 billion usd) during the holiday, up 16.1 percent. #MayDay #holiday #Tourism We should harness that department too in the spirit of diversification. We can do it as the largest black nation in the world. We have a rich history and sceneries around worth exploring.

Enjoy the exterior of the China Pavilion at the Beijing International Horticultural Expo 2019. The building is shaped like ruyi, which is a traditional Chinese decorative object with a curved shape. Ruyi symbolizes good wishes and good luck in Chinese. #HortiExpo2019

Nigeria, too , would have been making millions of Naira from tourism if our government had taken tourism seriously. It's sad the tourism industry in Nigeria is still at a nascent stage in spite of all the wonderful and historic sights found in Nigeria. |

chukxie:My brother, It's so sad how politics and ethnicity is tearing Nigeria apart whereas China on the other hand is harnessing these two into being a force to reckon with |

That's a whole lot of money. What do you expect from a country that is working everyday to be at the top. Come to think of it, African countries have lots and lots of tourist attractions, but few are being showcased, while the rest just rot away. Very sad! 2 Likes |

chukxie:When you have bokoharam and Fulani herdsmen in a country, no significant number of tourists will come here. As long as Nigeria still has northern Nigeria in it, forget tourism. Tourism is about image, and our security image is not good. |

And to think that most of the tourists are the Chinese themselves. Talk about promoting your own. 2 Likes |

uniqUN: It's beyond sad! Nigerian isn't ready to move forward. It isn't ready yet to explore other viable means of revenue generation because it is still heavily reliant on revenue from crude oil sales. The ironic thing is that while other oil rich countries like The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Qatar, Bahrain...are prospering in leaps and bounds, Nigeria is regressing. Sometimes I wonder if the oil Nigeria sells is different from the one sold by the above mentioned countries. Or is it that Nigeria sells cooking oil? Apparently there's something hugely wrong with Nigeria. How can we have so much yet have so little? It's a mystery ! E dey pain ooo! |
