Some 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) candidates have appealed to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to release their results.

The candidates spoke in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Bwari.

The 2019 UTME commenced on April 11 to April 18 with 1.8 million registered candidates.

The board has repeatedly said that it would take its time to screen the results because of the several infractions discovered during the exercise.

Madueke John, a candidate, said that the long wait for the results has held some of the candidates back, while also causing a lot of tension.

One would think technology has made things easy such that u can get your result IMMEDIATELY after writing. But welcome to Nigerian where even technology will not work

Many candidates complained of inability to solve many questions because of power issue among many others, JAMB said nothing for those disenfranchised candidates. However when a candidate was lucky to be located in an efficient centre and came out with outstanding result, JAMB withholds result citing examination irregularities. Is it that JAMB deliberately set up the system so that candidates can fail? What a warped system we run!

This JAMB Registrar to me is taking one step forward and so many steps backwards, he is taking this JAMB thing too serious than normal, people are suffering on a daily bases, from registration to examination.

First he has made all registrations exclusive to CBT center, when u get there the center operators will talk to u anyhow and treat u anyhow cos they know you've got no choice here

Now exams are over they are claiming to be screening results, the same results that were available right from the minute the candidate submitted (which is why the CBT thing was introduced in the first place). The man is just acting like this is the only exam students will write before graduation, forgetting that these students still have up to 8 to 10 semester exams to write before graduation. Why is he making life extremely difficult for the people

Please this man should emulate the NYSC system, everything about NYSC from registration to mobilization is just too perfect.
