USA – United States pastor Terry Jones, who threatened to burn copies of the Koran, has been told he must pay $180,000 (£115,000) for security costs triggered by the controversy.



The city of Gainesville, Florida said that local police agencies spent more than a month working on security plans to ensure the community close to the planned site of the burning was safe, the Daily Telegraph reports.



Jones sparked outrage when he announced his plan to burn the Muslim holy text on the anniversary of the September, 11, 2001, attacks. He eventually agreed to abandon the idea after pressure from US President Barack Obama and other world leaders.



Gainesville police spokeswoman Cpl. Tscharna Senn told Cable News Network that the threat led to a large police operation.



“We have 286 sworn officers and almost everyone was working either at the Dove Centre or at other soft targets,” she said. ”Unless you were sick or injured you were working” the day the burning was to take place.

No so why are we all hyper-ventilating. Moses broke the 10 commandments and that has not changed a nickle to a pound since the ancient days of the old testament, so why would burning a holy book suddenly ginger muslims worldwide beyond the typical violence and terror associated with the religion it is not as if Allah is bothered one bit is he?
