Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in an interview with Channels TV yesterday, rubbished the reports as absolute falsehood.“That is an absolute falsehood.

In all of those meetings, nothing like money was discussed,” he said when asked if the Federal Government offered the sum to the association.According to him, the meeting between Miyetti Allah and the Federal Government was to deliberate on how they can caution their erring members.

Garba shehu went on to state that Miyetti Allah is no different from other socio-cultural groups like Afenifere and Ohanaeze.“TheMiyetti Allah group is like Ohanaeze Ndigbo or the Afenifere.
It’s just a cultural group” he saidGarba also added that the criminals found in the group exists just the same way criminals can be found in other groups too.“There are criminals with the Yoruba race and you cannot say because there are Yoruba criminals, then Afenifere is a band of criminals,” he said.
