I have observed with keen interest and dismay the wave of attack on non-muslim in the northern states like kaduna, Zamfara and especially KANO. The last time i checked, these states are secular are not islamic states. everyone in the state irrespective of tribe and religion must be bound by the Constitution. First, there was report of banning of beer parlours, clubs, sport bet shops in Borno and other states YET they collect revenue gotten from Nigerian Breweries, Bet9ja etc.

Just some days ago, there was sighting of the moon which marks the beginning of Ramadan(Islamic month of fasting). The Muslims are all happy to participate in this year's event and other religion in solidarity wish Muslims Ramadan Kareem. Unfortunately, some Muslims appear to be more Islamic than the Saudi King who is the official leader of muslims worldwide by banning the sale of food and open eating by anyone especially in kano. This is outrageous, ridiculous and appalling because the states comprises Muslims as well as other people who practise different religions which makes it out of place.

The Sultan of Sokoto(the leader of muslims in Nigeria) should as a matter of urgency see to this anomaly before it becomes fully blown and lead to religious crises.
