Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister of Transport, has described the Court of Appeal ruling which setting aside the judgement of the Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal which nullified the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola as travesty of justice.

Babatope, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Board of Trustees (BoT) said he strongly believes that God will give a supreme judgment in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP’s governorship candidate in the election.

“What happened at the Appeal Court in Abuja today is travesty of justice. God Almighty, the maker of mankind will give a supreme judgment that cannot be challenged by anybody.

“I know that at the end of the day, those who uphold truth will win the Nigerian struggle. These APC people have murdered sleep and they shall sleep no more,” he said.

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja had set aside the judgement of the Osun State Governorship Election Tribunal which nullified the victory of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Delivering the lead judgement on Thursday, Justice Hannatu Sankey set aside the entire proceedings of the Tribunal because of its “faulty composition”.

The judgment of the appellate court was upheld by four justices of the five-man panel.
