Governor Ganduje has spoken on his alleged ‘vendetta move’ against Emir Sanusi in splitting the Kano Emirate, after he signed a bill into law creating four more emirates in the state. The Kano State Governor who debunked claims that the creation of four emirates was aimed at whittling down the powers of Sanusi,  explained that the decision to create four new emirates in the state was in order to take it to the next level and not against anybody.

Ganduje who spoke on his alleged ‘vendetta move’ against Emir Sanusi in splitting Kano Emirate  while addressing State House Correspondents on the sidelines of ongoing Progressive Governors’ Forum Award Ceremony holding at the State House conference centre, Abuja, said the emirate was balkanised because Kano State “needs the effectiveness of the traditional rulers”. The Governor said people condemning the decision “are entitled to their own opinion but we are taking Kano to the next level and we need the active participation of the traditional system, especially in the areas of education, security, agriculture”.
